Wouldn't it be nice to actually hear vocal traffic warnings instead of the audio alert that make you look away from outside to the screen.

"Traffic, 3 o clock, 1 nautical mile."

Many other apps have this feature.

We already have vocal warnings, i.e. TERRAIN!, TOO LOW!, 500, etc. Shouldn't be difficult to add vocal traffic warnings. It is much safer to keep your eyes outside.

I listed this on the wish list 2 months ago, but there has been no response. So I thought I'd try here.

Great suggestion! I'd add the altitude relavite to me in the read-out. Then I'd know how worried to be and whether to look up, down, or straight ahead.

As much as I'd like to have this feature as well, I wonder how we'd be able to deal with high density traffic situations such as flying close to a really active airfield - say Falcon Field in AZ.  I can see the usefulness of the feature for one/two targets, after that it might just add to the workload so much that the average joe would silence the alerts.

I'm not saying it's not a good idea, just that it will take some creative thinking to make it usable.

Aren't all the alerts turned off within a certain distance of airports?

Correct. Alerts in the vacinity of an airport are reduced.

Vocal alert would only warn when the target is close enough to be a threat.

We get  similar warning while on flight following...if they are paying attention.

I was impressed with the alerts from Garmin while flying my friemd's 206.

Of course, you can silence the warnings...at your peril.
