I've been using iFly for a couple of months now and was wondering if the following were available:

Is there an option to either automatically or manually sequence through an approach without adding each waypoint to the flight plan? Can I tell iFly that I want to fly the GPS 26R and have it auto sequence once I pass the IAF?

Can I touch the flight plan legs (magenta) to activate a specific leg? This morning, I was vectored off course to avoid traffic. As I left the current course, a different flight plan leg activated. The current leg (the one I wanted) would not reactivate as I returned to course. I could only get it to work by creating an new flight plan.

Thanks!

Ed

Ed, the next release will include ability to load approaches into your flight plan, and it has features for supporting Vectors, and improved waypoint detection. I think it will address you questions, and more! It's soon to be in testing, we don't yet have a release date for these features.

Thanks!
Walter

Will this work similar to Garmin 430? Select approach, select IAF, then select activate approach. The approach is loaded at the end of you current flight plan. Activation then jumps you down to the approach part of the FP, sequencing through the approach segment by segment.

Currently in iFly, when you load a plate, the original FP track line overlays the approach. This can obscure information on the approach. There are a few ways to correct this, but requires manual intervention. Less pilot intervention is always better.

Not exactly, but we are certainly trying to minimize pilot workload.
