We have the newer charts all ready, however since the older ones are not expired, the are not prompting you to update them. If you delete the New York data and reinstall, you'll have the new clearer charts. If you want to remove all the states you have loaded, reinstall, then you'll have all the new improved charts. When we get back from SnF, we may consider prompting to update all charts with the newer ones even if they are not expired. We'll talk about it more on the way back. I hope this helps.

Tom,

The iFly GPS models will also get the improved charts, however, the will not be as sharp as an iPad or Nexus, due to the screen resolution. The iFly 700/720/520 are all 800x480 and many of the tablet are nearly double that as they were made to watch HD movies and such. You will notice a marked improvement on the new charts for the iFly units. I hope this helps.

During the last update, the iFly seemed to do that. All of my selected states cycled through the different colors. It appeared to remove and reload them all. But, I removed NY and reloaded it as you suggested. But, there is still a difference in color levels from Detroit and New York sectionals. The greens on the NY are much darker. Therefore, the contrast of the lettering is not as good as the Detroit. I good example is ELM airport. It is on both charts and if you switch between the two, you see a big difference. I don’t think this is a iFly thing, I think it is a Fed chart data thing.
